Jai Hindley on the path of Miguel Indurain

The Pyrenean ski resort of Cauterets hosts the Tour de France for the fifth time. The last time, Rafal Majka was a young stage winner in 2015. He’s now at the service of Tadej Pogacar. But only once before, the finish line was located at Cambasque and Miguel Indurain claimed his first Tour de France victory in 1989. The second – at last – stage in the Pyrénées features the giant, the Tourmalet, whose summit is located 47 kilometres before the finish. This is where the Tour de France lovers can become familiar with the new Maillot Jaune, Australia’s Jai Hindley. A pure climber, he seems able to hold on to the leadership but his destiny is also in the hands of duellists Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar. The Dane took a significant advantage over the Slovenian yesterday and he’s probably eager to let Hindley in the yellow jersey until the Puy-de-Dôme on Sunday but Pogi has used his fan to react after a defeat.
