See you on 29th October for the announcement of the routes for the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes with Zwift in 2025.

Fireworks for Thibaut Pinot

It was ladies first! The first ever Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift paved the way for the mountain finale of the 110th Tour de France. One year ago, Annemiek van Vleuten won atop Le Markstein with the Maillot Jaune and it could be the same today as Jonas Vingegaard has also outclassed his opponents in the Alps. Stage 20 was designed in order to give the runner up the option to turn the race upside down but with a deficit of 7’35’’, it’s highly unlikely for Tadej Pogacar to do so. The Slovenian would like to win the stage though, after he witnessed the emotion of his compatriot and friend Matej Mohoric in Poligny yesterday. But like any mountain stage, the win can come from the breakaway. Giulio Ciccone will target the first four climbs to secure his polka dot jersey. Felix Gall could contest it but shall he made the breakaway, he’d be chased down by the teams of the riders who are just ahead of his eighth position overall. And this is the fireworks of Thibaut Pinot’s career. This is his very last mountain stage at the Tour de France and the beginning is held in his backyard. Heading to Ballon d’Alsace, the Frenchman will pass around 20km away from home. It’s a short stage (133km) with a succession of climbs and the grueling Platzerwasel to finish with, a paradize for pure climbers.
