Le coq sportif : A made-to-measure time trial suit for both Geraint Thomas and Pierre Latour

The made-to-measure time trial suit initiated by le coq sportif, official supplier of the Tour de France distinctives’ jerseys became essential for leaders.

On the evening of Friday July 27, the night before the last time trial le coq sportif’s pattern makers and seamstresses went to the yellow and white jersey leaders’s hotel to take their measurements and make note of their technical requirements.

The brand’s prototype and pattern designers came especially from Romilly-sur-Seine, home to le coq sportif’s production workshop and development center, to complete this meticulous work in one evening.

Le coq sportif is once again using its equipment expertise to serve the leaders in the 105th edition of the Tour de France.

Yellow Jersey made-to-measure suit

Geraint Thomas chose a long sleeves and short bib suit. His suit’s sleeve has been tightened of 6,5cm at the cuff and 4cm around the arms. The leg was shortened by 3cm and the inseam was adjusted, as well of 3cm. The waist and the neck were adjusted to reduce folding and to ensure the perfect fit, for optimum aerodynamics during this decisive trial.

White Jersey made-to-measure suit

Pierre Latour chose a long sleeves and short bib suit. This suit’s sleeve was tightened of 3cm around the biceps, and 2cm at the cuff. The neck was shortened of 2cm. The waist was adjusted of 4 cm to reduce folding and to ensure the perfect fit, for optimum aerodynamics during this decisive trial.
