See you on 29th October for the announcement of the routes for the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes with Zwift in 2025.

Fan Parks offer a unique experience

Three free-admission venues dedicated to the 2018 Tour de France will open in July at La Roche-sur-Yon, Annecy and Carcassonne to welcome followers of the world’s biggest bicycle race.

Three exceptional venues offering three unique atmospheres centred on the Tour de France. With the local institutions that will host the event and its partners, the Tour de France organizers will install the Fan Parks to provide a new experience to enthusiasts of the world’s biggest bicycle race. The La Roche-sur-Yon site will be open free of charge to the public beginning on Thursday, July 5. Tour Fan Parks will then be installed in Annecy and Carcassonne.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected during the nine days of activity at the Fan Park. They will enjoy cycling-themed activities from dozens of exhibitors. There will also be a giant screen airing the stages, a virtual bike demonstration, BMX/trial shows, a bicycle carousel and a track for kids to learn how to ride. There will also be road safety awareness workshops. Fans will have a chance to show off their knowledge of the Tour with quizzes and the Tour Museum, and everyone will leave with goodies.
The La Roche-sur-Yon Fan Park will be open to the public until Sunday July 8 to better experience the Grand Départ that will take place in France’s Vendée Department. Tour aficionados will then be welcomed to the shores of Lake Annecy on 15-16 July. The 2018 Tour de France Fan Park will then set-up camp in Carcassonne, next to the iconic fortified city, from Sunday 22 July to Tuesday 24 July.

Le Tour Workshops
At the Fan Parks but also in several other stage hosting towns, the Le Tour Workshops will set up to welcome young cyclists and help them to discover the world of two-wheel transport. A learning zone will allow them to get to grips with handling their bicycle, whilst another one will teach them how to maintain their bike. Looking after your bike is the best way to protect it: a stand run by the municipal services or by associations will give hints and tips for chaining up your bicycle efficiently as well as engraving identification plates. Of course, the emphasis will also be on safety issues, both regarding equipment (helmets, Hi-Viz vests, etc.) and the highway code. There will also be advice on using your bicycle every day.

* The Workshops of Le Tour will be present in La Roche-sur-Yon, Cholet, Lorient, Fougères, Annecy, Valence, Carcassonne, Pau and Paris
