LETOUR.FR: ALL THE NEWS IN FOUR LANGUAGES

With more than 12.5 million unique visitors in 2013, the official Tour de France website gathers all the essential news to follow the race: key moments, course, standings, interviews, videos… all of which, available in four languages – French, English, Spanish and German – are also displayed on a renewed mobile application downloadable on iPhone, Ipad, smartphones and Android pads.

FACEBOOK, TWITTER, GOOGLE+, INSTAGRAM… AND NOW  SNAPCHAT

The Tour de France now unites more than two million people on the social networks. The Facebook page and the Twitter account launched in 2010 are now complemented by a Google+ application and an Instagram account. This summer, the Tour de France will also appear on the Snapchat photo messaging application. On Twitter, the main account @letour offers a selection of the essential news while the die-hard fans can access the entirety of the wire through the four versions of the site: @radiotour_fr ; @radiotour_en ; @radiotour_es ; @radiotour_de.

SOCIAL CORNER: ALL THE TWEETS IN THE WORLD

A new tool available on www.letour.fr/socialcorner summarises the activity on Twitter of all messages including the #TDF hashtag. On a world map, the tweets appear in real time and the most followed for each stage will be awarded a “buzz of the day” mention. The tool also organises a contest between the most cited riders and teams each day, a kind of virtual race besides the real one.

The digital experience of the Tour can also be continued with Antargaz, who call on Twitter for the vote of the most aggressive (combatif) twitto of the day awarding a similar trophy to the one handed to the rider. On the roads of the Tour or at home, it is also possible to connect to lacaravanepublicitaire.com to send and watch the best pictures of the caravan. Lastly, mobile phone users can also win their own Tour de France by playing the official game downloadable on Google Play et l’App Store.
